The Mid Atlantic convenience store giant, Wawa, well known for their own brand variety of food and beverages, employs over 13,000 associates at over 500 convenience stores throughout the Delaware Valley Region.
The Business Need
Due to large a volume of credit card purchases and the need to streamline their credit card transaction process, Wawa recently changed credit card service providers. This change facilitated the need to develop a gateway to support the credit card transaction between Wawa.com and Wawa's new service provider, NBS.
The Solution
As the creator of Wawa's existing credit card processing solution, Diamond Technologies has a solid understanding of Wawa's infrastructure and was therefore chosen by Wawa to develop a new "gateway" to support credit card transactions between Wawa.com and Wawa's new service provider, NBS. The project entailed building an NBS gateway with integration into wawa.com's web application. The integration included the conversion of wawa.coms credit card purchases into the NBS system.
